ABOUT
Artists Statement
Much of my inspiration for what I desire to communicate is borne of the conviction that we all possess hidden narratives. Our stories guide our sense of who we are and reflect in our humanity. It is my intention for my work to record these via the production of images and often objects. The creation of any artwork is integral to the materials it is created with and by the processes they undergo.Â
Beginning in the act of drawing, my works evolve across a breadth of media each given careful consideration to how best to convey the story they hold. For example when I use the methods of intaglio this is with deliberate intent, not only for its visual impact but for the connotations and traditions it evokes of the age old art of storytelling.
